2022 RE Market - More of the same

The two words most often used for the real estate market in 2021 were hot and perseverance. Sellers capitalized on the hot market: the median price of homes appreciated 19.8%. That translates to a home price at $455,000 a year ago is selling for $545,000 today. Buyers had to persevere. Typically on their first try, their offer was outbid and it was unlikely they would have an offer accepted under asking price. (At least not when it hit the market; a number of homes have dropped in price because they started too high.)

To set realistic expectations, it looks like more of the same in 2022. Contact me for creative ways to achieve your real estate goals.
